One of the first decisions to make is where to hold your wedding? If you live in Sydney and don’t fancy a Sydney beach wedding, a church wedding or the long drive to the hunter valley then the Hawkesbury River could be an option worth considering.
Wedding Photography on the Hawkesbury River
If you want beautiful wedding photos, it’s important to have a beautiful location, the hawkesbury river is one of the most beautiful wedding locations I have seen.
One of the things I liked about the hawkesbury is that you feel like you are in the middle of no where enjoying the surroundings of green hilly forest and a great expanse of water, no traffic, no other buildings, just you, your partner and your guests. The Hawkesbury River is a wonderful place for wedding photography. And with many venues catering for weddings it is also a great place to hold your ceremony and reception.

The wedding I photographed was a short fun boat ride from wisemans ferry. Once there it was like stepping onto an Island paradise with tropical flowers, palms and an amazing back drop. The ceremony and reception was all located in one place so that the guests could relax upon arrival. Once the ceremony and celebrations were over the reception organised a party boat for those that wanted to carry on into the night and river taxi’s to get back to wisemans ferry. I stayed at the local pub which has clean rooms (recently decorated) at a reasonable rate above the bar.
